Sun Ray USB Thumb Drive GUI Tool (utthumb) For Solaris

Sun Ray (unfortunately) lacks a GUI tool for accessing USB thumb drives & gnome-volcheck requires a source code change to examine alternate removable media directories. Utthumb is a Zenity/Korn Shell based GUI tool for accessing, viewing & removing USB Thumb Drives on Sun Ray. Utthumb will handle multiple USB thumb drives. Utthumb requires zenity & has only been tested on Solaris 10 & Nevada.

Installation

  • Download. Use browser "Save As" feature, remove the .txt suffix, save as filename utthumb.zip
  • unzip utthumb.zip
  • Follow instructions in the README included in utthumb.zip
