Hey Gents, I did a fresh installation of OpenSolaris 09/06 yesterday and SRSS4.1. Went through the HowTo section several time but I'm getting 26D errors on my DTUs. I understand that in general Xserver problem is related to 26D so I updated pkg and tried to open the netservices but get following error messages. If I'm right OpenSolaris is not using the CDE so the message would make sense, however don't no how SRSS behaves related to OpenSolaris.

netservices open svcprop: Couldn't find property group `dtlogin' for service `svc:/application/graphical-login/cde-login'. svccfg: No such property group "dtlogin". svcadm: Pattern 'svc:/application/graphical-login/cde-login' doesn't match any instances restarting syslogd restarting sendmail svcprop: Pattern 'svc:/application/management/wbem:default' doesn't match any entities

Appreciate any recommendation / help.

Fonts and libraries with build 130 of OS dev

I had two issues after upgrading from build 125 to build 130 of OS 2009.06 dev:

  • Xnewt missing libXfont.so.1 and libfontenc.so.1 - resolved by manually adding symlinks in /usr/lib and /usr/lib/amd64 pointing to /usr/lib/xorg and /usr/lib/xorg/amd64 respectively for both libraries
  • Fonts moved to /usr/share/fonts/X11, so my fontpath file is now:

/usr/share/fonts/X11/100dpi-ISO8859-1
/usr/share/fonts/X11/100dpi-ISO8859-15
/usr/share/fonts/X11/75dpi
/usr/share/fonts/X11/75dpi-ISO8859-1

Why can't the none-simple gdm greeter work with this???
