SRSS-4.0 F8 x86 64

Following the instructions for getting SRSS 4.0 running on Fedora 7 x86_64 came very close for Fedora 8 x86_64. I was unable to determine the root cause of the problem, but it seemed to get hung up in authentication based on the pam.d configuration entries for gdm. Anyone care to take a shot.
